How-to

  1. create new mlog

    2. You can create your own mlog here or you can send e-mail/sms/mms to signmeup@mlogz.com in the following format

    !mlog_name my@address.com password


    Explanation of individual parts
    Required parts
    ! The exclamation mark needs to be there!
    mlog_name Write the name of your blog. Only characters, underscore, hyphen and digits are allowed. The URL of your blog will be mlog_name.mlogz.com
    my@address.com Your e-mail address. We will send a registration e-mail with password to this address and you will be able to use it for administration purposes.
    Optional parts
    Password If you don't specify password, anyone will be able to send new posts to your blog!

    example:

    Blog info.mlogz.com administered by admin@mlogz.com who has chosen a password noentry would be created with the following message: !info admin@mlogz.com noentry


  2. Check your e-mail

    3. After signup please check your e-mail. We have sent an email to the address you provided us. Please check your inbox and click on the link provided to complete your signup. If you don't see our email message, check your spam email box.


  3. send first post to your new mlog

    4. Send mms/sms/e-mail to your_mlog_name@mlogz.com in the following format

    !This is a content of the message. &&p:password:r:l

    Explanation of individual parts
    Required parts
    your_mlog_name@mlogz.com Recipient address. This is used to identify what blog you are posting to.
    ! The exclamation mark needs to be there!
    Optional parts
    This is a content of the message. The content of your message. Type in plain text, use whatever characters your phone allows you to. HTML code will be stripped. If left empty, only the attached picture will be displayed (and it does not look very nice ;)
    && The ampersands separate text of the mesage from the command section. Commands need to be divided by colons and all of them are optional.
    p:Password "p" followed by colon and the appropriate password is required if password set in blog preferences (this password can be changed in administration section).
    :r Rotate the attached picture 90 degrees clockwise (right).
    :l Rotate the attached picture 90 degrees clockwise (left).
